Apprenticeship summary

The candidate will complete on-site training and formal classroom-based training. The formal training will be provided on a block release basis in the Exeter area.

Duties will include:

  • Undertake all training and education required as part of the apprenticeship
  • To carry out continued electrical maintenance under the supervision of a qualified electrician, until such time that qualification allows unsupervised work
  • Install wiring systems, electrotechnical
  • Design, build, install and maintain electrical equipment and systems
  • Terminate and connect conductors, cable and cords in electrical systems
  • Cabling
  • Wiring
  • Stocking van with materials for the day ahead
  • Weekly wage
