Surveying Technician Apprenticeship HENGEFORM LIMITED

The applicant will have the chance to work in all aspects of property and can expect to be actively engaged on several projects at any one time. The apprentice will be involved with the development, structuring and financing of transactions and regularly attend both external and internal meetings, negotiations and due diligence sessions.

Apprenticeship summary

Under the supervision of the Director, day-to-day tasks will include:

  • Perform financial modelling and valuation analyses of prospective investment opportunities
  • Prepare written analyses and evaluations of investment opportunities for Latch’s Board
  • Participate in execution of transactions and both internal and external client meetings
  • Review and management of existing rental portfolio
  • Preparing project status reports
  • Responsible for cost, schedule, quality and budget control
  • Assist with planned repair and improvement programmes and maintain our property portfolio
  • Update and maintain systems/records to ensure that information/data is kept up to date and accurate
  • Work closely with project managers on-site visits, surveys and appropriate meetings for the purpose of defect diagnosis, repair, alteration, improvement and collection of stock condition data
  • Assist project managers with additional projects, administration and related duties
  • Work with the stock condition surveyor assisting with creating a photographic record and validating the condition of the property
  • Work towards gaining a wider understanding of project management, including procurement, contract administration and customer liaison
  • Work with the project manager through the procurement of a contract and assist with related tasks
  • As the apprenticeship goes on you will be able to work independently on small projects which will include, drafting a project brief, producing a specification or design, obtain quotes, liaise with customers, check completed work and contractor payments, plus: 
  • The opportunity to shadow the party wall process  
  • Assist with a project that has a consultant involvement
  • Assist with a statutory compliance function, such as asbestos management
  • Annual wage

    £15,000.00 - £18,000.00
