Apprenticeship summary

Dutise to include:

  • Provide day-to-day end user support for Maddison Logic Global staff and visiting clients on a rotating schedule
  • Diagnose system errors and resolve problems with networks (including wired and wireless, cabling, routing, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP)
  • Support local and remote users (through remote access) using Local Area Network (LAN), Wide Area Networking (WAN) and Virtual Private Network technologies (VPN)
  • Assist with troubleshooting issues and provide technical support
  • Organise and maintain IT resources
  • Lend IT support in areas such as helpdesk, laptop setup and analytics
  • Set up workstations with computers and necessary peripheral devices (Monitors, Keyboards, Headsets etc.)
  • Check computer hardware (SSD, mouses, keyboards etc.) to ensure proper functionality
  • Install and configure appropriate software and functions according to specifications
  • Maintain local networks in ways that optimise performance
  • Ensure security and privacy of networks and computer systems
  • Provide orientation and guidance to users on how to operate new software and computer equipment
  • Organise and schedule upgrades and maintenance without deterring others from completing their work
  • Perform troubleshooting to diagnose and resolve problems (repair or replace parts, debugging etc.)
  • Maintain records/logs of repairs and fixes and maintenance schedules
  • Identify computer or network equipment shortages and report to manager

  • Working knowledge of relevant operating system Windows, MacOS, iOS and Android
  • Passion for customer service with excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • Exceptional multi-tasking, organisation and prioritisation skills
  • Administration of Microsoft Office Suite, Office365, Confluence/Jira, Active Directory, Zoom, G-Suite, TeamViewer, Lansweeper
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Good organisational, time management, and prioritisation
  • In-depth understanding of diverse computer systems and networks
  • Good knowledge of internet security and data privacy principles

Desired qualifications

You’ll need to pass a face to face screening interview with our Talent Team (don’t worry, we’re a friendly bunch) and sit initial assessments in Maths and English.
