Our client is looking for a 1st Line IT Support Helpdesk Engineer with commercial experience. Working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment you will be providing 1st/2nd Line Support to users.

Apprenticeship summary

Duties will include:

  • Answering service support phone calls
  • Logging tickets in our Incident Management tool
  • Responding to tickets and analysing logged data to identify recurring problems
  • Initial diagnosis of hardware and software faults
  • Performing research to resolve incidents in a timely manor
  • Documenting processes and procedures
  • Following instructions to resolve an issue or configure a system
  • Looking for improvements where possible in current processes
  • Testing new technology and systems
  • Annual wage

    £14,000.00 - £16,000.00

    Monday - Friday, 9.00am - 5.30pm.

    Total hours per week: 37.00

Requirements and prospects

Desired Skills

  • Ability to demonstrate good communication skills and ability to deal with problems and technical issues in a pressurised and time sensitive environment
  • Experience Supporting a busy and fast paced environment in a 1st and/or 2nd Line capacity
  • A strong knowledge of all Microsoft Applications (Office, Outlook etc)
  • Good working knowledge of Server 2008 and Windows 7
  • Networking protocols including TCP/IP
  • Good working knowledge of Active Directory
  • Experience working in a desktop support environment
  • Experience working and supporting Exchange and Office 365
